Was a slow day today, I wanted it over and done with because it was just so... shit. Guh. I am too busy in daydream land recently to focus at work. I need to sort my head out. More sleep methinks.

I want to draw all mine and Glor's characters by hand with ink soon. Something in a manga style and almost pinup-y. I am still working out how I want to do it but I think it would be nice to try and explain a character completely in one picture. I doubt I can do it, but fingers crossed for me LOL.

Argh, and I have lupines to fail, not to mention a cake to make to take to work for my bday (At work it is customary to bring cake on your own birthday for everyone. I am deciding on what sort of cake to make, nothing with cream as Jan at work doesn't like cream so I said I would probably go for something chocolate. Mmm. Well, lets hope I can scrape some money up for it. I have a doll coming too but I still need to ship my own doll to her so another weekend task. And I want to go to Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero this weekend. I want to look like a normal human being, damnit!

My head is in the clouds. Still thinking about my bday. Was really bummed about it until earlier today. I cant wait to get my present from Glor! Better late than not at all OMG! :DD

I wrote this out earlier on a sheet of paper since I don't have a computer where I am. (this was yesterday). Have a few free moments to write out a quick entry.

I have 6 custom poses left - woohoo! Now, I actually need to finish them. I also have to add the images to Chris' cupcake site. I'll expand the image map isntead of making a new one. (Did this yesterday, 17 images later LOL). After that I have some template creations (piccolos mostly) and the PG customs (25 of them). So my to do list goes as follows:

Hoping to get a huge chunk of those things finished this weekend. I also want to start talking to the coder about the site. I need to work a payment plan with them and look into seeing if Tbun is up to helping with items and bits.

Glor got me a lovely ink set from the shop so one less thing on my want list (Thank you!!). However, I'm not really feeling happy with my artwork at the moment so I'm looking into tutorials to try and appreciate and grow with my art. I think I want to stick to thinner lines when inking (Since when I did a few thicker ones I didn't like it) and try and put more care into the lineart and details themselves.

I really want the option of working on my manga, but I am not pleased with how my art is translating it onto paper. I am bitterly disapointed about that art class not working out, I had looked forward to a challenge, but not abstract. I have no desire to learn or grow from what I feel feels and looks like yup rubbish that people try to pass as an intellectual artistic journey. Sorry, just no.

I want an art site (yeah, I know I have this, but I want somewhere to post tutorials and commision prices if I ever get around to being able to do them.

Have I got any art for you today? No, just an idea of a lupine I want to make myself called Pepper. I'll show you that later ;)

Right, I've changed everything to my preference it seems :) I'll start posting some art now.

Right, for those of you who don't know me (and therefore I haven't the foggiest why on earth you're looking at this) my name is D (Please call me Diction or D, Lisa is reserved for family and very close friends only.) and I suppose I've been drawing as long as I could hold a pencil (Well, that's a lie - I still hold my pencil wrong. Bah, I'm backwards, leave me alone) and have always been very interested in cartooning.

I started on anime artwork at around the age of 12 after having a very love-hate relationship with the (badly dubbed) anime Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon and started my love of the style - to which I branched off to other animes that have greatly influenced my art style such as Escaflowne or Fushigi Yuugi.

I don't really tend to watch much anime or read much manga anymore, though I am hoping to write my own when I get off my ass and actually do it.

I don't have any real formal training with art - not even a life drawing class. I think that has to do with my sheer loathing of art classes. I went to an art academy of sorts to broaden my artwork, which only seemed to make me hate art and I stopped drawing for a year or so until I got my confidence back.

Nowadays I tend to work mostly on an online pet adoptable on PI known as Lupines, which is my original art from years ago now. I have -greatly- improved my wolf artwork from then, as I had only been drawing canines properly about a few months before Glor and I started the project.

Anyway, let's stop talking about all the past crap as I'm probably boring you shitless if you even managed to get this far. I'm always rubbish on these because I can never work out if I've left something out or if I've written too much. I'm one of those 'get on a train' sort of people.

Right, onto art. I will probably add everything somewhere at some point, but for any previous artwork I've done that I've been bothered to upload is on my DA Account. So yeah, go look if you want.

Subjects: Kouji (Qilin and demon form)
More: Kouji is one of Glor's characters and one of the characters in my manga. I am rather pleased with how the qilin came out, as I am not really good with that sort of anatomy. The cogs were a pain in the ass, I spent 8 hours just doing cogs

Those cogs were all done by hand, I am quite pleased since I'm so rubbish with metals and... technical things.

Yeah, another blog. Let's see how long this one holds up. It's where I'm hoping I'll be posting my artwork to (due to being too lazy to actually get a proper art site) and maybe rant if I fancy. Anything to post? Later, gonna pimp this shit up first :D
